Updates & previews on Musical Monday

Ally Kerr's Viva Melodia

Too busy for blogging lately yet there is so much to share! Since  it is once again Musical Monday, lets start with Ally Kerr's new album, Viva Melodia. It has been perfect mellow background music. With my poor time management & too much/too little caffeine balance going on, mellow but not sleepy has definitely been the way to go lately. Click here for a few tunes from Viva Melodia. Below is his video for Man's Man. The little side quips written between the cliche'd images really make this video for me.

What have I been up to? Here's a quick peek at some posts I'll be sharing this week

day 57 - bird of paradise

The 365 Days in a Garden project continues. Today is day 58. All photos are taken by me with an iphone 4s, sometimes using olloclip lenses. If you are curious, you can view this ongoing series on Instagram, Flickr or Pinterest. (Although I'm a few days behind on updating the Flickr & Pinterest.)

Some of these plant pics have been printed on canvas for the upcoming Etsy Craft Party. Each year etsy.com sellers worldwide unite for a big-ole Etsy-craftsy birthday bash. Come and join the party on June 20th from 5-9pm at the historic St. Petersburg Shuffleboard Club! The event is free and open to the public. There will be food trucks, DIY demos, Etsy vendors (including me), swag bags, raffles, beer, shuffleboard... and lots of happy vibes and party goodness.  Find more event info on Facebook & Everbright.

lesson in making dolmades from The Little Greek

Last week several of the Tampa Bay Bloggers noshed some tasty Greek-American treats & preview new menu items from the Little Greek restaurant in South Tampa. I'll be sharing my thoughts, yummy photos, and a delish giveaway in the next day or 2, so be sure to pop back.

Kicking and screaming into the 21st century, I finally joined twitter (@ArtsnarkTampa). Don't get me wrong, I am still an old fuddy-duddy but am glad to finally got on board. Through twitter all kinds of fun stuff has been popping up that I would have missed otherwise, like the (free) day-long women's fishing clinic I attended last week at Weedon Island Preserve.

This has been the year of facing assorted fears (both in art and life), taking action and then seeing how things play out. Less worrying and more doing - not an easy lesson for me. I still have a long way to go and have lots and lots to share... including the kick in the pants that got everything flowing.

Now back to work: I'm in the middle of some interesting projects that are a bit hush hush just now. I also need to start prepping for the Etsy gig on the 20th. Plus family stuff. Plus work... ahhh, sleep ... sooo overrated :)

A Question or 2 For You : What have you been up to lately? AND How do you find the time to 'Do It All?'

  4. I just take one day at a time and try to accomplish those things on my list. I am currently taking two jewelry classes on line and I am behind...big time! Ha
So much for following the list...but my puter did go on the fritz and I have had a house full of company...that is my excuse and I am sticking to it.
    Hugs
