Bromeliads


While the Year In A Garden project has ended, I can't resist Mother Nature's charms.


Pics were snapped with iPhone 4s (and with olloclip macro lens on top) at Sunken Gardens in St. Petersburg, FL. It is a small but lovely taste of "old Florida", and there is always something colorful to see.

    I love these images! Bromeliads are some of my favorite plants. I have a few in my garden and the ones known as "The Queens Tears",(Billbergia nutans) are some of my favorites. I am not sure but I think the bright coral colored ones in your bottom image may be a type of "Queens Tears". Either way very nice images thanks for posting them for our viewing enjoyment!
