Taste of South Tampa Tickets Giveaway - ENDED

Sunday, April 13th is the 9th Annual Taste of South Tampa outdoor festival. From 1-4 pm a section of Hyde Park Village in Tampa, Florida will be closed and traffic will be replaced by a fun foodie block party! Dozens of local restaurants are providing their tastiest treats. Plus a variety of beverages including coffee, wine, beer and spirits will be available for sampling. Here are some of the participants:

The Taste of South Tampa is a fundraiser hosted by the South Tampa Chamber of Commerce. Some proceeds from ticket sales fund their programs. Another portion of the proceeds will be donated to Metropolitan Ministries, who also benefits from a canned food drive held during the event.

I am really looking forward to this family friendly fair! There will be live entertainment, and (unlike some other festivals) kids and pets are welcome. There is a Pet Zone for your four legged friends, and my son is super excited about the Family Fun Zone.  Personally, I am happy that he can't wait to try some new foods; he tends to be a picky eater, so the huge variety and party atmosphere are a big plus.

Oh, I almost forgot to mention, attendees also get to vote for their favorite treats. So, nibble away and then play food critic. The top three restaurants will be awarded "Best of the Taste of South Tampa prizes, plaques, and bragging rights."

Tickets to this afternoon of free samples, festive folks and fun times are $35 in advance ($45 day of event), with discounts for military, seniors and folks under 21. Kids under 10 are free. You can purchase tickets at this link.
